This rope is made from a very soft braided nylon (polypropylene) with 8m (26ft), 4m (13ft), 30ft or 15ft of length and 6mm (1/4") thickness.

It is very suitable for bondage - either shibari (kinbaku) or other styles of BDSM play. As a shibari stage performer and lifestyle bondage player I've used this rope and it has proven to be very strong and to hold knots well.

It's a good idea to have a set of the longer ropes for the more complex ties and the shorter lengths are often just what you need to tie two wrists to the bed post or to extend your rope if you need just a bit more length.

Please note: unlike many other synthetic ropes, these don't create a lot of friction on the skin so the risk of skin burn or skin rash is low. Still, with the bumpy nature of the braiding they hold knots well and are reliable for suspension lines if your technique is as adequate as it needs to be with jute for example.

Each rope ends with overhand knots.

The benefits of this polypropylene nylon rope compared to jute, hemp, cotton, sisal, coconut rope or manila are:

- it's super strong (advertised with breaking strength of 430kg (~950 pounds))
- it has a very long "life" span and it's hard wearing
- it doesn't contain allergens
- it doesn't rot
- it doesn't swell nor shrink when wet
- it doesn't stretch
- it doesn't scratch like some natural fibers
- it requires minimal maintenance - you just put it in the washing machine up to 40* C (~100* F) and afterwards you just hang it free to dry. You don't have to stretch nor twist it while drying (unlike jute, hemp, sisal, etc.). The polypropylene rope doesn't require you to burn the "hairs" off it nor oil it.
- it's suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced players
- it doesn't lose its shape easily (like when one of the strands overlaps the others, thus ruining the look and weakening the strength of the rope - typical for cotton, polyester and some jute and hemp ropes).
- it doesn't have a smell (often very prominent with new hemp)

Of course, it has drawbacks too:
- it cannot be painted
- it doesn't have a smell (it can be part of its charm), nor does it squeak like freshly oiled jute or hemp

The rope is available and ready to ship. For your convenience and peace of mind I package it in a plain box with no indication of its purpose.
